Grundy County Speedway – Track Repair Project
As part of the Grundy County Fair & Speedway’s vision to be the premier paved short track in the Midwest, a major paving repair project was recently completed with the assistance of Gallagher Asphalt. This project included the resurfacing of over 21,000 square feet of our high-banked corners along with over 1,680 feet of crack repair throughout the track. This significant investment will promote side-by-side, competitive racing at the Grundy County Speedway for many years to come.
Tire testing will be coordinated with Hoosier Tire in the spring 2021 on the new pavement. Any and all applicable tires that are suitable for the new racing surface will be tested. Hoosier Tires are the “Official Tire of the Grundy County Speedway”.
We look forward to a great season of competitive racing action for 2021.

Grundy County Speedway – March 10, 2021
A very comprehensive tire test was completed today for the Grundy County Speedway Late Model Division. A thorough testing plan was utilized to obtain solid engineering data along with detailed driver input for various Hoosier Racing Tire configurations. A comprehensive analysis of all specific engineering data and driver responses was completed with the Hoosier Tire engineers who were onsite for today’s test.
The Grundy County Speedway would like to make the announcement that the Late Model Division will utilize the Hoosier 3035 left side and the Hoosier 3045 right side tires for the 2021 racing season.
The Grundy County Speedway would like to thank all the Late Model teams and drivers who helped make this test happen on a very short notice. A very special thank you to Hoosier Tire for all of their assistance with the testing today.
Hoosier Tires are the official tire of the Grundy County Speedway.
